The Dharmasthala Scholarship, also commonly known as SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujnananidhi Scholarship, is an initiative introduced by the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Karnataka to support the education of students pursuing technical and professional courses of duration between 2 to 5 years in the states of karnataka and kerala.

The Dharmasthala Scholarship offers a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 400 to Rs. 1000, depending on the course or degree pursuing by the student and approved by the college or institute. Till the previous academic year, over 1.25 Lakh students pursuing technical and professional courses in the Karnataka state have been benefited from this initiative, with scholarships amounting to over Rs. 152.75 crores disbursed.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who are willing to apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship must meet the following eligibility criteria compulsorily.

• The student’s parent must be a member of an Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) sponsored SHG (Self-Help Group) / PBG (Pragathi Bandhu Group).
• The student should have passed the 10th/12th standard examinations with good academic performance.
• Applicants must be studying technical and job-oriented courses specified in the Information Letter (ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪತ್ರ) to apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship. (Eligible Courses are given below)
• The student must belong to the economically weaker section of society.
• Additionally, the student should be an Indian citizen residing in Karnataka or Kerala State.

Important Instructions

For Fresh Applications

Please refer to and understand the following SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship instructions before applying.

• Only one girl child per BPL (Below Poverty Line) family belonging to an SKDRDP-sponsored group is eligible to apply.
• Parents must be active members of an SHG (graded S, A+, A, or B) that was established before June 30, 2024.
• Only BPL Ration Card Holders can apply.
• First year students enrolled in college after April 1, 2025 are only eligible to submit the fresh application for SKDRDP Scholarship for the academic year 2025-26.
• Applicants should not be receiving more than ₹5,000 per year from other government or non-government scholarship sources.
• The student must have a savings account in a bank with an IFSC CODE, and the passbook should reflect transactions for the last three months.
• Special provisions are given for orphans, children of single parents, or students with disabilities (with valid government ID), even if they are not children of group members, provided they follow specific recommendation protocols.
• Direct application for the 2nd year is not permitted for SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship (This means, Students who haven’t submitted their application in the first year cannot apply for the second year, and lateral entry students are not eligible for this scholarship).

For Renewal Applications

• Only those who were granted the scholarship in previous years can apply for renewal.
• The student must have passed all subjects in the first attempt during the 2024-25 academic year.
• Scholarship support will be discontinued, if the student changes their course or institution midway.

Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship 2025-26 Amount

The Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship or SKDRDP Scholarship amount, ranging from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 10,000 per annum, will be provided for selected professional and technical education courses of duration 2 to 5 years for students who meet the eligibility criteria as discussed above.

Eligible Courses

The students who are pursuing any of the below-mentioned courses and meet all the eligibility criteria as discussed above are eligible to apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship for the academic year 2025-26.

Note :

1. Lateral entry students in any course or degree who have directly entered to the 2nd year are NOT eligible to submit the application for the Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship or SKDRDP Scholarship.
2. This year, students pursuing Fire & Safety or Aviation courses under Diploma or B.E. are also eligible to apply.

3. Marks Cards of the Previous Year qualifying for the current academic year
4. Student’s Bank Passbook
5. Student’s Aadhar Card
6. Parent’s Aadhar Card (member of the association or ಸಂಘದ ಸದಸ್ಯ)
7. Student Family’s BPL Ration Card
8. College Confirmation Letter
9. Scholarship Request Letter
10. Parents’ Association Resolution Book (ಪೋಷಕರ ಸಂಘದ ನಿರ್ಣಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕ)

Documents required to renew the application of SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship remains same as the Fresh Application.

You can apply for the Sujnananidhi Dharmasthala Scholarship or SKDRDP Scholarship at your taluk SKDRDP office.( you cannot submit the application for the SKDRDP Scholarship online on your own. Application Last date
